• I accidentally deleted the Home page link from my site and I’ve tried everything I know to get it back. I created a new home page link via Add Pages but it shows as https://29plus.org/home-2.

My original home page shows an error: https://www.29plus.org

What do I need to do to fix? I am using the Responsive and was trying to figure out why when I was using Theme Options–>Home Page the items I was inputting were not showing up on my original home page.

    Thank you!

  • Can you look on your “Pages > All Pages > Trash” to see if the missing page is in there? If it’s there you should be able to restore it.

Otherwise you should be able to rename the page link of “home-2” by clicking the edit link on that page next to the “Permalink: https://29plus.org/home-2.” just below the input box for title of the page.

That worked! Thanks! So, how do I activate the home page changes I made via Appearance–>Theme Options–> Home Page? The changes I made never worked.

Try going to “Settings > Reading” and select the radio button for “A static page (select below)”.

Then in the “Front page” drop-down box, select the page you created/restored.

it’s already set up that way. the only item that does not have anything designated is “Posts Page”. It currently reads “Select”

So maybe deleting the page orphaned it? Try going back to blog. Save. Then go back to static page, see if that works.

This was happening before I deleted the Home Page. I was actually trying to fix it and accidentally deleted the page.

When I visit your site now, it loads the “Home” article. What’s it not doing that it’s supposed to be?

showing the theme as it was originally was intended…the verbiage to the left an image on the right and a call to action button. I thought Appearance–>Theme Options–> Home Page and once I filled the Home Page info in with image would allow me to see a similar page to the demo site. Is there page attribute I need to change or add some sort of widget?

    29plus, have you solved it?
    I have the same problem…
I think that I did permanent delete of the front page :/

    How do I re-create it?

    Thanks to anyone who answers…

@roi.eco – please start your own thread – this one is unlikely to be the same situation as yours –
