• Strange behavior on my Apache logs. I have a website where I removed old child themes which are no longer used. Now, whenever I visit Appearance > Themes, I get the following error in my Apache logs:

File does not exist: [site path]/wp-admin/undefined, referer: https://[site url]/wp-admin/themes.php

Removing records from the database containing reference to unwanted child themes did NOT work. When I readd the child theme files back, the error message disappears.

Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

  • Does it actually say ‘…/wp-admin/undefined’?

did you go into the backend and disable the child theme then remove it from wp-content/themes’?

how many files in the child theme?
    What is the parent theme?
Have you asked the author of the parent theme?
