I removed a category feed as it was over-writing the category page on WordPress and we weren’t even using the feed.

However, even with it all removed it still shows an RSS feed. When I disable the plugin, it no longer shows the RSS feed.

    I’ve cleared the cache(s)
    I’ve flushed permalink settings.

    I don’t know what else I can do here…

If the URL you’re trying to access has “podcast” in it, you may be experiencing the problem because PowerPress takes control of the /podcast/ slug. This page has some suggestions on how to change that:

    Interesting…I’ll look into this.

One thing though…our theme is actually taking control of that slug as well and loading the correct template for our other podcasts

https://www.site.com/podcasts/name-of-category …this works fine for all podcasts except the one in question, which is the only one that ever had category podcast set up.

None of the suggestions on that page have yielded anything. Where/how does PowerPress determine when a page should show the XML feed?

I have asked the developer of PowerPress to look at your question. A response will be posted here as soon as possible.

    Hello @tspek,

We have tried our best to help you with anonymous information. At this point please reply with the feed URL that is having the issue so we can take a look and see what is happening. Hopefully it is a combination of some caching or maybe the category in question was not truly deleted in WordPress. Once I see this URL i can do some tests without permalinks and with looking at HTTP headers to see what may be happening under the hood.

    Thanks,
    Angelo

Is there any way I can reach out to you privately?

The post category still exists, this is where the podcasts are posted.
The Category Feed in PowerPress was deleted, but the feed is still being posted.

Other podcasts in the same parent categories are displaying fine.

I have. And i have to be honest this is very frustrating…I have PROVEN that this is related to the plugin itself and yet the only response I keep getting is:

“This isn’t an issue caused by PowerPress” and then they are telling me to change the slug of my page instead of actually figuring out why PowerPress is causing the issue.

If I turn PowerPress off, everything works fine. I’m not sure what other proof we need.
