Delete Users without reassigning byline.

  • Several authors on my site no longer contribute. For administrative purposes, I would like to delete these inactive authors as users but would like for them to maintain their bylines for their work is possible.

  • So you want to keep the byline but have it associated with another author?

    Assuming your theme is outputting the author name, display name, nickname, etc…just go to each of the now no longer contributing author’s user profile and update the theme used ‘name’ type (to be the same as the ‘main’ author’s name type.
