Im using WPMU. When youre deleting (removing) a user in a subsite, the user only gets removed as a member of that site, but he is still in the network and can still login. To delete him you need to go to the network panel, users and then remove him.

I need a function or code that deletes the user completely from the network and i need this to be done from the subsites.

Im not really good at php, but my thought is that maybe you can change the remove button to trigger wpmu_delete_user instead of remove_user_from_blog.

Any ideas how this can be done? Or if you have other ideas to delete users directly from subsites?

  • Hi, oh123

I think you have given him the network access earlier while creating the user. If you want to give a user access to certain site than you should go to the subsite and create the user who don’t have the network access.

    Hi,

I dont want to give access to certain site. I need to totally delete a user from the whole network directly from the subsite.

    Can’t.

    This is a security thing.

You can remove the user from the network ONLY as the network admin from the network admin dashboard. Why would you need a function for a feature you already have? Just turf ’em from network admin. That removes them from the sites, allows you to delete their posts, and kills the ID.

I now its not possible, but offcourse it can be made through some coding.

My site admins does not have access to the network area. This because they are not supposed to se other members on other sites. When they delete a member on a subsite, the member is still active on the network and can still login to the site. I cant manage everyone myself, but i cant risk that my subsite admins can delete other subsite members than there own. Thats why they must be able to delete them directly from the subsite user area.
