Hi @idearius, thank you for your message. We are constantly working to improve our features and functionality, and was focused on adding new stuff rather than prioritizing the account removal. I can assure you that we are working on this and it will be soon. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Making the exit as easy as the entrance shows confidence on your offering, so it’s good to know you are working on this.

I’d appreciate if you post the URL for the appropriate form once it’s available.

    Have a nice weekend.

Hi @idearius, just wanted to let you know that we’ve just released the user settings section so anyone can easily edit the email, change the password and deactivate the account through our management dashboard:

Thanks for the improvement. I have just deactivated my account.

If I may add something more… the wording and flow of the process could be improved.

Though you say the action is not reversible, the term “deactivate” implies something different from “delete” or “remove”. It looks as if the info on the account and associated websites will not be removed from your systems (even if there were no purchases that could justify keeping a record). Whether some or all of the info will be kept or not, it would help if it is stated unequivocally.

Regarding the options presented before the deactivation, they seem to be a great way of not loosing users without a good cause. I just think the flow would be much clearer if all options were closed on load, and the Deactivate button appeared only when the last option is selected (eg: I clicked a couple of times on the last option thinking something could happen other than the content being collapsed).

Finally, a single line confirmation message once the account has been deactivated would reassure users everything went as expected.

    Cheers.

You’re welcome. I’m glad to help.

I can’t figure out how to use this program AT ALL. I have spent several days just trying to ask questions and get some answers. I would like to completely remove my account and account information, preferably without spending too much more time on it.

    Hi @workin2day,

I’m very sorry to hear that you have decided to delete your account. I guess we’ve done something wrong on our side.
I would very much appreciate if you could send us the main reason for the account deletion so we can improve for future users.

Btw. To delete your account simply sign-in to https://app.rating-widget.com and click the Account Settings which can be found on the upper-right part of the page.
On your account settings window, click the Delete account.
