Delete products from Trash and attched media

Hi

I am not sure when I delete products from my trash will it also delete the attached media files? If not how can I remove them. Recently I deleted few products from Trash but when i looked into my media I did not see any unattached images. I was hoping to find unattached images for the deleted products.
