Delete post title from static page but not blog

SORRY, I was using an older version of twenty ten. The new version I just installed has a much different page.php file. I have some other puzzling things to sort out right now and I’ll get back to this one later.

OK, I just now put the contents of the current Twenty Ten page.php into pastebin, labeled “page.php #2”. I tried the change suggested early in this thread (put the modified page.php in the child theme) but it didn’t work, so I’ve deleted that modified page.php from the child theme.

replace with this

<h2 class="entry-title" style="display:none;"><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
<?php } else { ?>
