"Delete Permanently" from Media Library doesn't delete files from Uploads folder

  • “Delete Permanently” from Media Library doesn’t delete files from the Uploads folder. Is this the expected behavior? Do I need to remove them from Uploads manually?

  • Delete permanently should remove the media from the library. When checking make sure you refresh the file directory.

    Okay, I think I see the problem. Variant sizes generated by the theme’s own php file are not deleted. The ones created by WP core do go away.
