    David,

Thanks for the excellent MLA it has made things easier for us to manage the web site files.

Hi you can put this one down as a quirk if you like but as I use the Assistant view a lot it can be odd.

From the Media menu > Assistant option if one hovers a file and clicks the red text ‘Delete Permanently’ then after the deletion you remain in Media Library Assistant. However, if you open the Edit view (eg to confirm details etc) and click ‘Delete Permanently’ from the Edit page then after the deletion you end up at the normal vanilla Library page. And so have to select Assistant again.

Thanks for the positive feedback and for your report.

I agree that going back to the WordPress Media/Library screen after deleting an item is confusing/annoying. I will see if I can change that behavior in a future MLA version.

I will leave this topic unresolved until I complete my investigation.

I have released a new Development Version dated 20160328. It contains fixes for the “Trash”/”Delete Permanently” links on the Media/Edit Media screen that will return you to the Media/Assistant screen if you reached the Edit screen from there.

This version also preserves the bolding of the “Assistant” submenu link when you click “Update” on the Media/Edit Media screen.

I will mark this topic resolved when the fixes go out in the next MLA version. Thanks for bringing this annoyance to my attention.

I have released MLA version 2.25, which includes the new handling for the “Trash”/”Delete Permanently” links on the Media/Edit Media screen.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding the new version. Thanks again for working with me on the new feature.
