I’m new to UpdraftPlus. I’m receiving the error message below:

You have old directories from a previous backup (technical information: these are found in wp-content, and suffixed with -old). Use this button to delete them (if you have verified that the restoration worked).

I configured the plugin to use wp-content/updraft_backups as the backup directory. When I click the Delete Old Directories button and complete the steps, I still receive the error message. I confirmed that the original wp-content/updraft directory was deleted from the web server.

Any ideas on how I can suppress the error?

    Hi Jerry,

If you use FTP to access your webspace, and look in wp-content, what files + directories can you see in there? Are there any with “-old” on the end of the name?

That was it! I had a sub-directory named backup-old-site. Once I renamed it, the error went away. Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks Jerry. That bit of code should only have detected “-old” at the end of the name – it’s been fixed in future versions. It was a bug that existed in the original Updraft plugin 3 years ago, and you were the first person to come across it!
