Recently one accidentaly deleted a folder from FileBird in the media library. Usually the images should go to the “folder” uncategorized, but instead the images got lost -meaning that the images did not go to the uncategorized folder (but they are still in the real folder “uploads” obviously, but I can’t see where the images are, only by searching in the search field) and the uncategorized folder always shows one item less (so when it is empty, it shows -1).

So where did the images go after the deletion and why is the folder uncategorized folder showing -1 when it is empty?

Hi there,

When you delete a folder, images in that folder are moved to Uncategorized folder.
So there should be something wrong on your site now. Can you try to deactivate other plugins, and clear both server and browser cache to test it again?

Thank you for the reply.

I’ve tested it with a new folder and the images moved to Uncategorized folder. But the counter next to Uncategorized folder still counts one item less.

Hi there,

That one item might be a hidden item which has an error. It is still in your database but it is not showed (This item has been existed before you installed FileBird). To resolve this, you can clear your database or you just accept it like so.
