Delete Files

    By default, WordPress requires the delete_posts and delete_others_posts capabilities for Media. If you activate my Press Permit Core plugin and enable Permissions > Settings > Core > Filtered Post Types > Media, the following capabilities will be required instead:

    delete_files
    delete_others_files

    You can use CME to add those capabilities to WordPress role definitions as desired.

    Hi Kevin,

    So you’re saying I have to use two plug-ins to do this? Is there not a way to do so with a single plugin?

    And if WordPress requires the delete_posts and delete_others_posts capabilities for Media by default then why isn’t this the case when I use CME?
