I want to delete ElegantThemes ‘Chameleon’, v.2.1, in order to upload v.2.2. (I have not edited any theme files.)

I posted two Elegant Themes website support requests. One reply said “. . . simply delete the existing version . . . etc.”, but I can find no way of doing so.

The other reply said “you can do it via https://FTP.” But
the extensive FTP documentation is beyond my understanding.

I also posted a WordPress request, and was directed to Elegant Themes.

If you are unfamiliar with using an ftp client, perhaps you could use the file manager in your hosts control panel to simply remove the Chameleon theme directory.

Thanks Clayton. I’ve deleted v.2.1, and shall now upload v.2.2.

You can download FileZilla for free and it is easy to use. On one side of the panel is the directory from your computer, and the other side is the directory from your host. You can move files back and forth with FileZilla.

Thanks lesleye. In future I’ll use FileZilla, as needed.
