Delete broken child theme

I’m getting the message that my child theme is broken because “the parent theme is missing”. The update for the parent theme failed so I deleted the parent theme and reloaded it instead. Now the child theme is broken… it says “parent theme is missing” … but it’s not! How do I delete the broken child theme?
