So, you can’t really delete the podcast archive page, but you can rename it if you want to free up /podcast for another purpose.

Make sure you re-save your site’s permalinks after adding the filters, otherwise the links will be broken.

Now, this is in the realm of customizing the plugin so tread carefully and make backups of your site in case unintended consequences occur. Each site environment is unique so we can’t guarantee custimizations that our outside of the plugin settings itself.

I have a problem with that. I modify the slug, but that also changes the slug of each new episode.

I would like to free up and have my own domain.com/podcast but if I modify the slug, the episodes will be /new-slug/episode-name and I would like domain.com/podcast/episode-name.

Following up on this: if you want to use a custom template for your /podcast page – you can do this by following these instructions: https://support.castos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018867300-Create-custom-podcast-templates

This should let you keep using the /podcast/episode-name slug while also letting you customize that /podcast/ page.
