• I just signed up to www.remarpro.com having previously had a blog in wordpress.com. Well to cut a long story short I fiddled with some code and now i get a Syntax error and cannot login to the site to edit anything, I can’t even get to the code to correct it. As pretty much all I did was import the old .com site and add a couple of widgets. So for me the easiest thing would be to start again. Delete the broken stuff and import the old .com site again. A 2 min job if only I knew how to get into and then delete the old site or just be able to import and override the broken stuff – Any help.

If you are with a hosting Company, ask if you have ftp, or file manager in the hosting control panel, just rename the ‘wp-content/plugins‘ folder and create a new empty one, then try to login.

If it is the theme that is causing the error then rename the active themes folder (not wp-content/themes) to re-instate the default theme.

If you know which file you changed, use ftp or file manager to overwrite or edit the file, back to how it was.

Once you are back in then use a local environment for testing, use a product like WAMP to create your local environment, so you can deal with errors before uploading.
