    Hello,

unfortunately, I had to deactivate your great tool because it is not allowed to send such mails in Germany.

Now I would like to delete all database entries, via the tool itself there would be over one hundred pages which I would have to delete manually.

Can you tell me where in the database the entries of the abandoned shopping baskets are stored?

    Thank you very much.

    BR, Zappo

    Hi @zappob

Thank you for your message, and sorry to hear that. Could you elaborate a little, are only abandoned cart emails not allowed or any other?

Maybe is there something what we can do (from a plugin perspective?)

Nevertheless, carts are stored in wp_shopmagic_cart table.

    Hi @damianmachnik,

thank you for your kind reply.

The current interpretation of the GDPR is that an opt-in is required, i.e. a checkbox that has to be activated, and that the whole thing (similar to a newsletter) has to be approved with a mail confirmation.

This is an effort that absolutely NO interested party would make, so the whole story is obsolete for us.

    Hi @damianmachnik,

are the tables wpfrix_shopmagic_guest & wpfrix_shopmagic_guest_meta also obsolete?

    Hi @zappob

Guests are a different thing, and somewhat independent of carts. Guest can be used in cart type automations, but also generally by ShopMagic core plugin. Guests basically store the data of unregistered users. You can delete guest entries manually in ShopMagic > Guests tab.

    Hi @damianmachnik,

many thanks for your explanation, here I have a feature request:
please allow to set the number of shown lines/records, like e. g. in the orders pages of WooC.

What are the guests in ShopMagic good for anyways? Isn’t that data also available in WooC?

    Many thanks for your time.

    Hello @zappob!

When it comes to your request – we will add this to our board. It seems pretty reasonable to me, then you may expect it to land, but without precise release date yet.

Actually, WooCommerce doesn’t store data about guest customers itself in an efficient and sensible way – you can retrieve data about some customer but only from created order. This is bad for performing multiple operations in a numerous ways. At first it wouldn’t be performant-wise to search for an order and get only a piece of it’s data each time we want to refer to a customer. Additionally, sometimes you may want to target users who neither registered or purchased any item yet (as it is in Abandoned Carts) – without ShopMagic trying to save this data it wouldn’t be possible to know your customers before the purchase.

If you have other questions about it, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,
    Bartek
