Delayed Post – write now & have it load later??

  • Is there a way to write a post and have it automatically upload on a specific date?

    I use my blog to post newsletters and let my subscribers respond & discuss them. I write my newsletters in advance, so it would be great to upload them and save them, and have them automatically publish on the same date that my newsletter is emailed out.

    Any suggestions?

  • Click on the “Edit timestamp” box and set the date/time when you want your post to appear.

    Very easy to do. When you write the post just check the edit timestamp box (In the right sidebar of your write post page) and change the date to the one you would like it to be published on.

    You’ll see this pending post in the recent activity section of your admin dashboard.

    I tried this and it didn’t work at first. It is important to change the timestamp and click the box. But, you also have to click PUBLISH for the post. Then it goes in the queue.

    If you do, as I did at first, and click SAVE it won’t be published at the timestamp you chose.

    I made that change and it is working admirably.
