There could be many reasons for this, most of which are out of the scope of this plugin. Can you provide a link to the problem site?

I ended up going with another plug in that corrected the issue. As it turns out I think the order the plug in loaded in the WP loop affected it.

The delay issue was a big deal as the background did not cover the content prior to showing the age plugin. Not sure if you could address it with your version or if others have the same problem. I liked what you have.

Yes, I see how that could be an issue for sites that have content that NEEDS to be hidden, no matter what. The only solution in that case is to make the age verification screen an entirely separate page, as opposed to an overlay like it is now. That is something I might consider for a future version.
