Delayed emailing of comments

    For the past few days, it has taken a really long time for me to receive my email notifications when someone posts a comment on my blog. Usually they happen within seconds, but for a few days now it’s been taking hours for me to get those emails. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I can do about it?

  • That would be a “check with your host” kind of question. Perhaps they’ve been having some smtp issues?

    WP doesn’t do anything special with emails, it just chucks ’em at the smtp server, however that may be configured (typically via php.ini).
