Hi. I like the plugin but I ran into a problem.
I have Visual Composer (VC) installed and it recognizes the Private Pages post type. Now I’ve made a custom template with VC and assigned it to Private Pages on VC’s settings page (Default template for post types). So it suppose to work like this: when I create a new user, and click on ‘private page’ link under the username on the All Users page, the editor of the page is open and it should automatically insert the default template I created for it. But it doesn’t. This VC function works perfectly if I create a new post or a page with assigned default template, but not with your post type for some reason. Any thoughts?

  • Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I didn’t tested Visual Composer with Client Portal so I don’t know if they are compatible. Did you Enable Visual Composer for CPTs?

Another solution would be to create a Custom Post Type Template (Template Hierarchy) for your Private Pages, name it single-private-page.php, and add it inside your Theme’s directory.

    Best regards,

    Hi, I solved this problem!

This might be useful to someone else:

    1. On my template page made with VC I switched to classic view to display the template as shortcodes.
    2. Copied all the shortcodes.
    3. Pasted it all to ‘Default Page Content’ field on Client Portal Settings page.

Now every time I create a new user, it automatically creates a new private page with all the shortcodes. And in my VC settings I sat ‘Backend Editor’ option to ‘Enabled and Default’ thus when I go to the new private page from the Users list page, it shows my VC template instead of a bunch of shortcodes.

Thank you for the great plugin!

    Hi there,

So I use the Divi Builder plugin to build my website. I added the single-private-page.php into my Divi theme folder and I’m able to customize the page. The only issue I have is the logout link is showing on the page and I want to get rid of it. How can I remove it?
