Definitely recommended for backups and migrations!

  • I have tried a few migration plug-ins but Backup Migration is by far the best! It’s very easy to set up, has a lot of options in the paid version (which I highly recommend), and worked flawlessly with most of my plugins. I had to remove one security plugin that was causing some conflicts (it’s one that remaps some of the folder structure so no surprise there) because it was clearly tanking the login screen. Again, just turn off security software that messes with folder structure and you should be fine. Also, I excluded the content folder because one was almost 500mb and one was over 1gb, so that did make the backup more stable and certainly faster. It’s reassuring to know that, if I had an emergency, I could use Backup Migration to safely and easily backup or migrate my site and to know that it will work when I restore it!
