• Hi there,

I was wondering if you could tell me how to easily define the number of updates/entries which the main page of my site displays. I’d like to be in control of how many are displayed.

    The site is rapnews.co.uk

Thank you very much for your time, Tony.

  • To set the number of entries displayed on the front or main page of your site: Admin > Options > Read and change the number of posts to display on your site.

Now, if you make an update, it will not “move to the top” of the list. You will have to manually change the date under Advanced Options at the bottom of your Write Post screen to today’s date, and then it will move back to the top.

To keep something at the top of the list for a while, you can use one of the plugins for Adhesive or Sticky Posts.

    thanks for your help. however,

in the options>read settings, there’s two choices to make, both of which seem irrelevant to my front page at rapnews.co.uk

the blog page figure is set to display 999 at most. the syndication feeds is set to display ten. the main page is actually displaying around 30
