• In General Settings, the settings for the “WordPress Address URL” and the “Site URL” are set to https://mysite.com

I am making updates to my website, adding content and fixing minor issues and I notice that the WordPress Address URL and the Site URL keep reverting to https://mysite.com

I am saving the change each time I change it back to https://mysite.com but every few days I check it and it’s back to https://mysite.com. I believe that it may have something to do with maybe a bad .htaccess file or possibly something to do the Google Site Kit plug-in. This is driving me crazy because I can’t nail this down. Has anyone ever seen this?

.htaccess directives would not affect the settings you see for site and WP URLs. They can affect where the user is eventually taken, but they cannot change your WP settings.

It is possible for a plugin or theme to change settings, but it’ll be difficult to narrow down the culprit unless you can identify a particular action that causes the settings to be changed (an action besides you manually changing them yourself). Needing to wait an indefinite period of time to see if something happens would make debugging very difficult.
