define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘4096M’ ); still too low?

I really like the WP Sitemap Page plugin! (I use it on lots of sites)… However, I think one of my prolific client sites – which has 9,046 posts as of today! – is exceeding the memory limit. I’ve tried increasing the line in config.php to define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘4096M’ ); … still getting this error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home4/awakeno1/public_html/new2/wp-includes/meta.php on line 1078 … Another instance of the site map which shows only pages (a mere 259!) works just fine. Any suggestions??? Many thanks in advance! ??
