Define math-quiz's input type

I love Contact Form 7, I use it everywhere for everything, it’s excellent.
In researching some styles for better user experience in forms, I found that setting input type to “numbers” rather than “text” generates the number keyboard by default (on iOS, at least ). This is great if you’re entering something like the CF7 math quiz; you don’t have to tap over to your second keyboard on your phone.
The problem is, by default, the math quiz isinput type=["text"].Is there a way I can set it to beinput type=["number"]by default? If it could be child theme-able, (and therefor safe for updates) that would also be great.
