Defer parsing of JS files

    Any known causes as to why “Defer parsing of JS files” enabled still results in GTMetrix warning “Defer parsing of JavaScript”” as an F and lists YouTube video links as the offending code.

    Hi,

    Any known causes as to why “Defer parsing of JS files” enabled still results in GTMetrix warning “Defer parsing of JavaScript”” as an F and lists YouTube video links as the offending code.

    Unfortunately this plugin or any other plugin found here in the repository cannot control outside links like the ones you mentioned above. You would need to get in contact with Google support about this. The only way to resolve this is, if you displayed the videos within your site and not YouTube servers.

    Hi @srshaw3,

    As our beloved support member @mbrsolution correctly identified, external URLs can’t be optimized by Speed Booster Pack (or any other plugin) because it’s not possible to optimize external servers. However, it’s possible for you to “localize” YouTube video frames with the help of WP YouTube Lyte, much like Speed Booster Pack localizes Google Analytics code.
