Sorry if this is a silly question, but I’m getting a bit lost in the jargon while trying to solve this. GTmetrix is recommending that I “defer parsing of javascript” on two items. One of the items is a piece of javascript that I had already told the WP-Optimize plugin to defer using the “Defer Javascript”/load asynchronously section. Was this not the correct place to put it? The javascript looks like it’s from the WP-plugin itself, from minifying my header.

The second item is just my homepage, but I can’t really do much about that, correct?

  • @emmelinegb Could you please select the option “Defer all the JavaScript files” and check if it helps to fix the issue?

That did solve the problem in regards to the page speed, thanks. Is it ok to have that setting selected long-term, though? I thought it wasn’t recommended.

Glad to hear the issue is now fixed ??

If you have any more questions, please feel free to write back to us.

    Have a nice day!
