Default WordPress gallery with pages?

i wonder if its possible to add pages to the default gallery in wordpress? im using more than 1500 mobile wallpapers right now and it takes forever to load the page.i have tried the nextgen plugin but it somehow puts a lot of load to the dedicated server so i must stick to the default gallery.

what i want is to have about 50 wallpaers / page on the site. Right now i have like this: https://dailymobile.se/2009/03/04/nokia-5800-xpressmusic-wallpaper-gallery-2-360×640/
