Default wordpress email still sending when disabled

  • Hi,

    Default wordpress email still sending when disabled, and this is happening just for welcome email, after user registers.

    Trriger maili comes as well.

    We are using, wp mail smtp and AAM, with latest wp version, and eduma theme.
    Enable background processing with WP Cron is on.

    What could be a problem?

    no we don’t, but on initial install of theme there was one, but we didn’t need it and removed it.
