The only way I can get the sound to play is to add the mute button and then when on the site, use the button to unmute the videos.

Videos should play unmuted. A mute button is cool, but by default it should be turned off. Videos are meant to play with sound.

Thanks for the great plugin. I will be using it, if this issue can be fixed.

Keeps moving back and forth automatically between videos. It is playing two videos at once. both the sounds.

I need to disable until I hear back from you.

    Thanks

    Hi @captainslog,
we are glad that you like our plugin!

Related to issues that you are experiencing, so it’s 2 issues there:

    1. Videos by default should play sound.
    2. If you have 2 slides both with videos and you go back and forth suddenly both videos start to play at the same time with both sounds.

I’ll check what is happening and try to fix issues if I need more information I’ll let you know.

    Have a nice day Jeff!

dkurecki – thanks! would love to get this resolved so I can launch. I’ve gone over to vimeo and am not all that happy with it.

should i self host the videos, do you think? it is a low traffic site for now. if not, who do you suggest?

    thanks,

    jeff

I resolved your issues with video, the update will be available tomorrow so you can have your video on start without mute and also without buttons. I changed the settings name called Buttons to Video and under these options, you will have the option ‘Start video muted’ and u can turn that Off.
I’m really happy that I could help and after you update please let me know is everything working ok.

Also about the video hosting provider, for now, I suggest that you keep videos self-hosted and after that, you’ll see should you move somewhere else.

After the update, if everything is working ok please feel free to leave us some feedback and rating we will really appreciate that!

Thanks for the update. But it doesn’t seem to be working for me.

    Hi There,

    Here are the settings: https://nimb.ws/OEe1fc

    https://www.myseniorhomeadvisor.com/test-slider/

The second video doesn’t start automatically. Not sure if the first video stops when the slider is put onto the next slide.

Also, the pause and mute buttons are not visible.

    Regards,

    Jeff

    Hi,
As for the update, we did additional testing on our part and came to the official data from Google that it is impossible to play video on autoplay with sound. Here is the official documentation from Google

    https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes

So there are two options that are possible:
    1. Autoplay video without sound
    2. User interaction to play a video with sound

We’re sorry we can’t implement exactly what you need, but it’s beyond our capabilities due to Google’s rights. Unfortunately, you will not be able to find this option in any other plugin because they also face the same problem.

Thank you for your understanding, if you like the plugin and its other features feel free to leave a review and rating, thank you!
