• Hi,

I’m working on building login/registration pages on the time. I’m trying to insert a default value for certain fields; however, none of the values are present when the login page is loaded. There are no conflicts with other plugins (ran a conflict test for each one). The field is empty whether I make the default value text or numbers.

Sorry second question I just remembered. The logout redirect is only working for certain custom user roles, despite having custom URLs set for each role. Some roles go the correct page, others go to the UM default login page. Any insight here? Is there a certain capability that I need to add?

    Hi @zachmissimo

    1. What version of UM are you using?

    2. How many roles are assigned to the users who aren’t redirected correctly? If the user has more than 2 roles, you need to set a Primary Role by adding Priority number to one of the users role so the redirection will follow that Role settings.

    Hi @champsupertramp

Thanks for the reply! I’m using the most recent version of UM (2.1.2).

Also, I only have one role assigned to each user. For reference, the logout redirects that aren’t working have this URL (I’d share the actual site, but it’s local so I’m unable to):

    https://test-site.local/login-um/?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Ftest-site.local%2Fhome-leader%2F”

So it looks like the redirect is being attempted, but it just returns the default login rather than the redirected page.

I’m having the same problem with the default value for a field in a form, all of a sudden. This has been working over a year and it’s stopped working sometime in the last week. Not sure exactly when it stopped working.

    Hi @guytimes @zachmissimo

Could you please check the Login form settings and see if the redirection is set to Default?

Go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Forms > Edit the Login Form > See “Options” >
    Redirection after Login.

    Hi @champsupertramp

So, I made sure the redirection was set to default, but I’ve also tried it with all the other options just to test. Still no luck unfortunately.

Also, any feedback regarding the default value? Thank you for all your help by the way.

    hey @champsupertramp

Hate to message again, but it’s been a few days and I just wanted to see if there were any updates regarding these issues? Been trying to find work arounds for them. The redirect issues seem to only be happening at the subscriber level and all custom user roles. The redirects seem to work normally for all other levels.

Still having issues with the default value as well. Did a default theme w/ UM only test and still had no luck with the default value showing.

UM, it’s been over a week. Do you have the problem fixed with the default values? Or do I need to make a youtube video and open a ticket to prove there is something wrong? Both my registration form and profile form are broken since the problem started.

    Hi @guytimes @zachmissimo

    Sorry for the late response.

Could you please try the pre-release version of UM in the link?

Let’s see if the update resolves the issue on your end.

    Hey @champsupertramp

No worries, I appreciate the ongoing support. The update seemed to fix my login redirect issues, but still having a few problems with Logouts. Will check to make sure something’s not causing a conflict on my end.

Unfortunately, my default values are still not working for the forms. Checked the registration default values and even tested it on a login form. No luck.
