• Hi,

    I use the excrept for showing images, by <img src=””> but i have to copy the code every time i want to use it is there a way to set a default value for teh excrept?

  • I’m not sure I understand what you want to do. Do you want the same image in every excerpt? Then style it as a background image in your style sheet file style.css and arrange the style of the excerpt text to move around the image.

    I use images in my excerpts, but it’s a different image in every excerpt, and the styles that control the positioning and height of the excerpt to accomodate the image are in my style sheet. But I still have to add the image tag every time.

    Any time you want to use an image, you have to add it. Just how it is. I keep an example of my tags in a text file, along with links that I commonly use, so I can copy and paste them into my WordPress posts as I’m writing, saving a few keystrokes.

    I use a different image every post, and i do it now on the same way you do but i’d like a sample that comes again every time in the excrept field (admin) zo i just have to add the name of tehe image+jpg
