Hello, i have openlitespeed server with WordPress on GCP.

Now i notice your plugin actully not working properly, specially with “Default URL settings:”

    1. Case insensitive matches (i.e.?/Exciting-Post?will match?/exciting-post)

    2. Ignore trailing slashes (i.e.?/exciting-post/?will match?/exciting-post)

So, about the trailing slash, its actully good to have trailing slash in the end of any page.

I dont know why its mark as default, but anyway is not working.

But the big isiue its the Case insensitive match.

from what i see its not working (and i actully need it working)

    For example:

    https://locksmithunit.com/locksmith-Eustis-fl/

you will see the “locksmith-Eustis” not actully changed to “locksmith-eustis” (capital letter)

I suspect in general the plugin not function properly…

but for now the main problem is the case insensitive match.

    Can you help me?

    Regards,

    Nadav.

The option is for your redirects, not your permalinks. It is marked as default as that is the best setting for the majority of users.

In general the plugin is working fine. What redirect have you created for the above URL?

i didnt create any redirect for any URL, the only redirect rule i have its on the server level and this from www to non-www

The only thing i try to achieve with your plugin is the?case insensitive match

    https://locksmithunit.com/locksmith-Eustis-fl/

The isiue is not only with this page, its with all the pages, the problem start with Google Search console (many years ago i did a mistake and put capital letters on the URLS than i was publish them as internal links and as backlinks)

now i try to fix it, for exemple:

    https://locksmithunit.com/locksmith-Eustis-fl/

    need to change to:

    https://locksmithunit.com/locksmith-eustis-fl/

I was thinking the option your plugin offer fix this isiue to all the pages on the website.

Your plugin >> setting >> Default URL settings:

    Case insensitive matches (i.e.?/Exciting-Post?will match?/exciting-post)

I think you have misunderstood how the plugin works. The settings apply to redirects in the plugin, not to your entire site. You need to create a redirect for a URL, and the case insensitivity will apply to that.

I don’t have any redirects set up with your plugin because I don’t need them.

My website has a perfect structure.

I was hoping your plugin could simplify things by creating a rewrite rule for “case-insensitive matches” for the entire site.

I don’t typically use your plugin much, and I haven’t set up any redirects with it or with WordPress. (Sometimes, WordPress automatically creates redirects when you change a page’s URL, but as I mentioned, my website is well-structured with no errors—I’ve rebuilt it a couple of times from scratch.)

So, if that’s the case, maybe I don’t actually need your plugin. Or, is there a way you could help me create case-insensitive matches for my entire site using your plugin?

I’m glad you have a perfect structure.

If you have problems with particular URLs then I would create case sensitive redirects for those URLs only. I would not try to do a general redirect as this will likely cause issues and for the majority of cases is not necessary – your site will correctly set the canonical URL anyway.

creating a rewrite rule for “case-insensitive matches” dont need to be a problem.

URLs from any kind should be without capital letters.

and i cant create now to any page redirect (i have 110 pages X 3 websites).

better for me to put a rewrite rule for the entire site and get over with that.

as i said before, the problem google search console index the URLs with capital letter long time ago and this causing SEO problems.

anyway, thank you for you time and your fast response i appriciate that.

    Regards,

    Nadav.
