default ugly perm not working for categories

  • My default (ugly)permalinks will return a 404 when i am in categories and want to view “older posts”, however when i am in a custom perm. it will view the older posts for a category. How do i fix it? I am using the twenty ten theme.

    anything? i even did a fresh install of this today and kept the same db of course. and still i get the error when set to default permlinks on the categories when i try to view older posts? why is it doing this?
