Default to plain text

  • I installed WP Recipe Maker Premium about two months ago and I am so incredibly frustrated with it. I imported all of my recipes from Easy Recipes over and they looked great but now some recipes are defaulting to plain text. When I go to the WP Recipe manage page and click on the recipe and edit it will show the recipe in the plugin, but then when I go back to the post it goes back to plain text. I have to keep reinputting the recipe into the template and then a few weeks later it will once again default to plain text. This is driving me crazy and followers are now sending me emails to complain because there is no print button to print out the recipes that keep defaulting to plain text. Please help.

    It’s most like a compatibility problem. Have you been able to figure out when it happens exactly? Can you reproduce the issue?

    No I haven’t been able to figure out why it does this. A recipe seems fine and then I will check it again 2 weeks later with no editing or updating in the meantime and it will have gone back to plain text.

    The usual test is to disable all other plugins for a second and switch to a default theme (like Twenty Seventeen) to test if it works then. But if you don’t really know when it happens it’s a bit hard to debug.

    What other plugins do you have active?

    I have quite a few different plugins active, quite a few genesis plugins, monster insights, hello bar,jetpack, mail chimp, meta tag manager, shop page wp, updraft plus, wp google fonts and wordpress importer. Do you know if any of these might be an issue?

    I’m afraid none of those have came up during our support before.
