I manage two websites that I did not design. On both the woman who enters events to the sites let me know that the default timezone is no longer prefilled in as it used to be.

Both sites built in Avada.Using the new templates.

The wordpress setting is correct for timezone city.
It doesn’t matter whether the events setting is set to sitewide or manual…in both cases UTC-0 is the default timezone.

    Is this a bug?

    Hi @jennipagano,

It seems like the Avada Team lauched and update recently where they introduced a modification to the default PHP Timezone, I am not 100% sure of the details yet, as our team is digging into it next week.

If you revert to previous version of Avada is the problem resolved?

Also if you manually set the time zone of the event and then save it, then it sticks.

    best Regards,

This is NOT resolved. There was an update to Avada this week, but the problem continues

Correction: update to Events Calendar plugin this week did not fix problem.

I’m having the same issue when using the CSV importer.

@bordoni Are you already in touch with the Avada team about this?

    @jennipagano and @marcphilipp

@bordoni will be out for a little while, but to answer your question, yes we have reached out to the good folks at Theme Fusion.

@jennipagano just to set expectations, this is not something we can fix on our end, it will have to be an Avada fix ??

    Stay tuned!

I just heard back from the Theme Fusion theme and the fix for this issue is something that they will include in their next update.

    Stay tuned!

Have spent a lot of time in troubleshooting for this issue and find out here that it is a Avada issue…! Hopefully there will be an update soon.

    Thanks everyone who reported this!

As this is out of our hands, I’m going to resolve this ticket.

Keep an eye out on Avada updates, as Theme Fusion has informed us that their next update should resolve this issue.
