Default themes lifespan

    Will the older default themes, e.g., Twenty Eleven, get obsolete after some years? Or can we keep on using these with periodic updates for ever?

  • If you like the theme, and the theme function and design is what you need then the answer is Yes.

    I suggest you to update your site with latest themes. It has new features to manage content and layout.

    You can continue using the old themes without updates. A theme without updates does not mean it is faulty or insecure.
