Default text – size, line spacing, color, etc. for H1, H2, H3, H$, H5, quote, et

  • Is there any way (or future intent) to be able to set a default for all elements of the text styles for each type of text in WP?

    I mean to say for ALL of H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6, paragraph, lists (bullets and numbers), and quote, will we be able to set a default (and for each responsive option) within the Elementor settings:
    – Font
    – Size
    – Weight
    – Letter spacing
    – Line spacing (before and after)
    – Indentation
    – Text color?

    I know that you can default to the theme’s fonts, but that isn’t really an option in most themes either. This seems like exactly something that Elementor would be designed to handle. Is the recommendation to use CSS?

  • As of now, Elementor is not providing the feature to set the typography for all of these. Although, you can manage this from the theme settings as well. Which theme you are using?

    Thanks. This seems so odd to me that it wouldn’t be built-in. I would pay for pro for that feature alone. It’s not in my theme (I’m using Layers after switching from GeneratePress Pro, both Elementor suggestions). And now even defaulting to theme fonts, I’ve lost all my spacing and can’t get bullet points to display (at all).

    You can use the copy paste feature of the Elementor. So, you just need to set the design in one place and you can copy the style (using right click) and paste it wherever required. It works when you copy from one page and try to paste it on different page. (keeping the same browser session).

    That doesn’t work and, like I said, I have bullets in the text box (and other formatting elements), but Elementor has deleted them (and the spacing). This has not solved the problem.

    Oh ok. But I think until you share the snapshot or staging link, it is difficult for anybody to help you on this.
