Default Sidebar only on homepage

  • hi, is there a way to have the default sidebar widget appear ONLY on the homepage (whether it is a page or a post?

    If I go to Customize> Sidebar, this is not an option. It looks like its for either ALL. ALL SINGLE POSTS, or ALL PAGES. Am I missing something?
