Default select box text: a new category ?

  • After installing the plugin, I entered a text such as “Search” in the “Default select box text” in the widget. “Search” appears as a new, additonal category in the category list. I would have expected that it would generate the value of the input element of the input box.

    Is my plugin working correctly ? I am using WP 5.2.
