I’m using the search widget that comes with WordPress – I’ve put it in one of the sidebars. When I search a term I know exists on the site, it shows no results. Is there something I need to install or activate to make this work? I just need a simple search function for this site – something that will let a user search for specific words on the site.
    Thanks!

  • Plugin “Relevanssi”
Worked very well for me in solving this issue.

Thanks Amado – my site actually did not like Relevanssi. BUT…I figured out that the issue was a setting in my Thesis template. I changed the setting and it’s working fine now.

    all done

    Hi Leeann,

Can you tell me what you did to get the search widget working? I am having the same problem, and not sure why it’s not working. If I use the twentyten theme the search widget works fine, but it’s not cooperating in Thesis 2!

Hi Rachael! I haven’t upgraded to Thesis 2…but here’s what worked for me:

Go to Thesis > Design Options > Display Options > Archives

and choose something other than “Titles only”

I hope that works for you!
