Default role not being applied

    I have a website that is a multisite installation with 2 sites. Both are configured with the same roles, including the same default role. However, when a new user registers they do not get the default role applied to their new account. From what I can see I think the role should be getting applied automatically on account creation but it is not

    Hi Trobee,

    Default user role set after registration can be selected in Settings > General page. Members does not have any control over this as it is WordPress functionality. If you have New User Default Role set to custom role, and it does not work, you can disable all plugins and switch to default theme to see if there are no plugin conflicts.
