• i’m about a month or so new to wordpress/ making websites and i’m trying to create a blogger community… where people can express there minds on a variety of subjects including news, sports, movies, music, viral videos, games and more.
    my questions are
    1) do you think it’s a bad idea to let anyone automatically become an author?
…i’m leaning against this because i i want have to chance to filter any junk posts out.
    2) do you think i should let anyone be a contributor which would allow them to everything an author would be able to to do with posts except i would review the posts first.
…i think this sounds like a great option, but it does seem like it might be a lot of work. so if anyone has experience could you give me some advice
and finally 3) only let certain people become authors… for me this would insure i trust the people posting, but would probably cause the site to not grow as big.
…the downside to this is i would also have to recruit friends etc… which is going to be lots of works
THANKS and the site is here

  • I would start off as defaulting all as contributors – then as the y become trusted you can upgrade them to authors
    more control that way

thanks… i think that’s probably the best way to go

I have a problem here: I allowed users to register as contributors.
The emails are sent to me and to them after registration…

Now, when somebody tries to login it gets this error:
    ————-
ERROR: Registration not yet validated by blog admin. Wait for confirmation e-mail.
    ————-

And I don’t know what is wrong??
How a blog admin validates the registration?? I can’t find anything in the admin area (and I am the admin).

Can you give me an idea? Thanks.
