Default pagination broken – Showing weird results – No code
-
I have completed my first WP website. I started uploading content. After adding 76 posts to my first category, I realised the pagination is broken. I’m using the default poor man’s WP pagination block in my category archive page.
I’m displaying 10 posts per page. I have 76 posts. But the pagination shows only 3 pages. I can’t go past page 3, to my older posts. I can navigate only between the 3 pages with newest posts.
More still, the order of the posts is also broken. I see the 10 newest posts on page 1. I see 20 posts on page 2, with numbers of posts from 56 to 37 (all my posts are numbered in the post titles) and page 3 shows posts 56 to 47.
It’s all nonsense.
I tried disabling all plugins one by one and checking if the problem persists. It seems it’s not a plugin problem. I tried changing the number of posts shown on each page via Settings > Reading > Number of posts. It’s set to 10.
I’d appreciate help greatly. I put several months of work into this website.
One last note: I cannot code. I need as much a no code solution as possible.
(I’m using WP 6.4.2, Neve FSE block theme not customized, only adapted visually using Gutenberg blocks.)
