I updated the plugin the other day and it is now throwing an error on my main “events” page. The page is https://www.raafamberleyheritage.gov.au/events/. The Events Template is set to Default Page Template, to show in list view and should be displaying 3 events. However with playing around with the settings, I found that when I change the Events Template setting to Default Events Template, the information changes and does display (but then I lose my side bar etc…)

I do not have cache on atm, I have deactivated plugins (minimal on this site), and played around with all the settings. I’m at a loss.

Is anyone having this problem, or are you able to assist to confirm whether it’s an error with my site or an error that has occurred as part of the latest update to the plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I just had a similar problem on a site I moved last night – Flushing the permalinks worked for me

Hi thanks for your response rbarnes. ??

I tried refreshing permalinks – no luck. Reading the article, I’m not sure if it’s 100% the correct thing. Not getting 404 errors, just the archive events page itself is not displaying correctly (guessing a short code issue or something), though single pages are fine.

    Hey there @liz27!

I’m not seeing any kind of error on your site so it looks like you must have gotten this one figured out, kudos for that!

    Hi erishel,

unfortunately, no I haven’t got it sorted. I had to change the event template to Default Events Template, as it’s a live site. However the problem still persists when the event template is Default “Page” Template, which is what I want to display. I am still getting an error and some kind of conflict. I have deactivated all plugins, and the error still persists. I am not sure what is causing this problem.

I can change the events template back to show the error if I know someone is going to be looking at it – i just didn’t want to leave it like that for a significant amount of time.

Please let me know what you would like me to do.

    Cheers, Liz

Sorry that you’re still experiencing the issue @liz27.

Is there an error message or just a blank page?

Do you have a staging server where you can copy the files and show the issue?

    Hi Ed,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to this. Finally managed to set it up on a different URL so the error can be seen.

    Check out: https://dev.redlillystrategies.com/aahc/events/

Appreciate any assistance on what may be causing this.

    Cheers, Liz

    Hi @liz27,

Since single event pages seem to be loading normally, this seems to be a theme issue. To customize with current theme, I recommend getting to know our Themer’s Guide

    Take care,
    Ed ??
