    I need help please as in a bit of a novice.

    On my checkout page I offer as an option Warehouse pickup (local pickup). I need this as sometime a customer from outside the area is passing through and would like to pickup from our warehouse instead of paying for postage.

    At the moment tis warehouse pickup is the default option and I can’t see anyway to change it.

    The problem is some customers don’t realise this yet they want it shipped so I have to chase them for extra shipping costs.

    Thank you for sending the screenshot. I understand you want to make as default another shipping option instead of Local Pickup, but still give the option for that, correct?

    Before we do that, we want to understand better your shipping to provide proper assistance. Kindly send the following screenshots:

    1. Shipping zones: You can find it in WooCommerce -> Settings -> Shipping -> Shipping Zones.
    2.  Shipping zone settings: In the same place as 1., select the Edit button of the shipping zone displaying in the first place to access the Shipping Zone settings.

    Thank you for sending the screenshots; they are helpful.

    I wanted to check the order of your shipping methods because the default Shipping Method for customers is the top listed enabled shipping method in the zone they match.

    Check more about controlling the shipping method selected as default here: https://woo.com/document/setting-up-shipping-zones/#control-the-shipping-method-selected-by-default.

    So, here’s how it should work:

    To try and find the culprit of this issue, could you please try in a private window or incognito mode and check if it is still happening?

    If this still happens, this may be related to a conflict between WooCommerce and your theme or another plugin.

    Are you using the?Australia Post Shipping Method?extension? If correct, please try deactivating that plugin and test again, as shown in the video, to see if it helps to solve the issue.

    We recommend creating a staging site using the WP Staging plugin to perform conflicts tests without affecting your live site.
