    There should be “WordPress Users” list created on installation, where we sync WP users by default.

    Is it missing on your install?

    The mailing list WP is just a helper list.

    Basically you can’t add subscriber to it, it is supposed to represent exactly your WP user base. Nothing more.

    This actually might be a list we’ll remove in the future, as it should be more of a filter rather than a list.
