    Hi,

Is there a setting somewhere (or perhaps an easy solution) to set a default courses page layout for desktop and mobile?

It seems that our users prefer the list view on mobiles, but grid on desktops.

    Regards

    Max

    Hello

    Thank you for reaching out!

Unfortunately, there are no separate settings for the course layouts for desktop and mobile in LMS settings. The selected layout will be applied for both views.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

    Thank your for your response.

Would you be able to point me in the right direction how to achieve it? Perhaps a code snippet in functions.php?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Max

    Hello @maximx86,

To implement the requested change, complex plugin changes are required. Unfortunately, it is not enough to edit a single file to achieve the result.

Please feel free to ask if you have more questions.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.

I wasn’t considering making any complex plugin changes. Just a simple snippet in functions.php similar to this one:

    Default to list view

I am sure plenty of other people would find it beneficial.

    Many thanks

    Max

    Hi, @maximx86

The fact is that you can’t do it with shortcodes alone since this requires a complex change in the core code. We cannot give such decisions, as this may entail unpredictable consequences.
We will consider your request and try to expand the functionality of this setting in future updates.

    Best regards.
